I always wondered what that black block with the golden slug was? It’s a very unusual looking building stacked alongside the Sumida River, unique and definitely an eye-catcher. It’s surprisingly the Asahi Beer Hall! Although I’m not a fan of beer, I would have never guessed. . .

Having been at this point on about a dozen times with fellow Australian travellers, we saw the golden slug more like a golden dog poo.
