I didn’t quite know what to get as my eyes wondered aimlessly at the many options. I wanted to try many flavours and ordered the Blue Seal Mountain for 1250 Yen and a mountain is what I received. I was to choose 7 flavours so I decided upon: Strawberry Cheesecake, Strawberry Shortcake, Mango, Matcha, Winter Mint Cookie, Ryukyu Royal Milk Tea with Salted Ice Cream on top and cornflakes on the bottom.
It was my first time trying Salted Ice Cream, and I loved it!! It’s still got that milky taste with a hint of salt! Matcha is a must and I love mint chocolate!! The mango was super fruity and refreshing for a humid day!! I was very happy with the flavours overall, but the portion was too big for me and I unfortunately didn’t finish. Wished I had a bigger stomach!!
Next time I’ll probably opt to try the crepes and other flavours!! If you’re in Okinawa, Blue Seal is definitely a must visit for Ice Cream lovers. There’s a few branches around, I went to the Kumoji branch just outside the Ryu Bo shopping department building.

Although I told myself to go on a diet, when in japan it doesn’t apply. Many many flavours to choose from!!! Could do with some salted ice cream right now!! 😊

Up until 2004, Hawaii had Blue Seal ice cream in our supermarkets under the name Foremost Ice Cream. It’s always great to go to Japan and feel nostalgic for what we once had here!
