Kyoto is one of my favourite cities. It’s a tourist hot spot and the feeling of returning to Kyoto again brought so much happiness into my day. I went directly from Sannomiya to Kyoto taking the super rapid via Yasu for 1080 Yen one way. The journey took just over an hour. The train was jam packed because when I left Kobe it was rush hour with a tornado of people trying to get to work and school. But, after Amagasaki the train became more quiet, and after Shin-Osaka it was literally empty. I had to carry 1 medium luggage and backpack. It’s always good to go as light as possible!! There were plenty of coin lockers outside the JR office, it’s a good way to drop things off if you plan to do some exploring. The station is one of the most busiest! But, very easy to access and get to places via Trains, Subways and Buses.

I love the Xmas decorations. I miss Kyoto station it’s silly but I have lots of good memories there and it’s a good place for shopping or to eat!

Yeah you are right about Kyoto station being one of the busiest stations. But because it was huge, so when I was there recently I didn’t feel crowded or suffocated by the commuters. I like that this station has a designated queue for tourists friendly taxi.
