The weather was a bit confusing. One minute it was cold and warm the next! It’ll be cloudy for a few minutes then blue skies and sun! It reminded me of London weather where it’s never consistent. I was very happy to be staying in Higashiyama that had so much to offer. Walking to the Heian shrine took only about 7 minutes from my hotel. I was very impressed by the beautiful architecture and bright red colours!! All so vivid and took my breath away. To visit the shrine it is free admission. I simply can’t find a better way to describe my love for shrines in Japan.
