This pop up outdoor exhibition took place at Nijo Castle, Kyoto. I booked my ticket a month in advance through eplus Japan for 3850 Yen. It was also to celebrate the Taisei Hokan 150th anniversary! Previous shows were in held in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. I went to Kyoto especially for this show and was not at all disappointed! I arrived around 5pm with lines and lines of people waiting to enter. I was in the cold for about 30 minutes, but the wait was well worth it! In fact I was overwhelmed by the presentation. It felt like walking into a dream yet so surreal that I didn’t want to leave. You are allowed photography, but no flash! There were so many Japanese goldfishes, they appeared all so magical and cute. At the end of the route they were selling hot drinks at the counter along with a little souvenir stand with fish themed items. If you’re in Japan during the next exhibitions, it’s an opportunity you just can’t miss!
