Kimono Girls at Dazaifu. Like many tourist areas in Japan, you’d see many girls all dressed up for the experience of wearing a Kimono. There are plenty of Kimono rental shops around and they offer services to help put on the outfit and style your hair. I haven’t tried the service before but it looks very lovely to be all dolled up in florals and take pictures for a full day. You’d see a lot of people dress up in places like Kyoto’s Inari Shrine (Chapter 139), or around in Nara Park (Chapter 56). Of course at times it is a Japanese local, or there is an event or ceremony nearby. I can’t help but to admire the beautiful colours and elegant attire.

How lovely indeed. I always thought the kimono was a particularly beautiful garment. Graceful and elegant.
