I simply love the night in Japan. It always feels so safe and Sapporo has so many lights and the streets were busy in the evening. My first night in Sapporo was indeed very exciting for me, the vibe is very different to Tokyo or Hakata. It was love at first sight. I was staying in Susukino which is a very lively area that awakens at night! The streets were spacious, wide and big, the atmosphere here is not stressing (which I’d often find myself feeling in central parts of Tokyo when it gets overcrowded) but it does resemble a bit of Hakata however, I love Sapporo because it has a very uplifting atmosphere!

Looks and sound like a nice, yet exciting place. Night can be wonderful.

You’re so right about Sapporo having a different vibe. I was only there once but the city decisively felt more airy and spacious.
