Now this the place you’d find yourself in if you visit Asahikawa. The shopping district of the city! Here, you’d come across a lot of bronze looking statues, the man playing the saxophone to the cat is my favourite one! In the early hours of the morning before anything has opened, I saw many cleaners around, wiping the statues and keeping the entire street spotlessly clean. You’re not supposed to ride your bike on the shopping street, a school teen did so and got told off by one of the cleaners. Although the entire area was pretty much empty, rules are rules in Japan.

What an impressive place! Love the statues. I have said before that everyplace in Japan looks so clean and orderly. It would be a pleasure to walk around here.
