The little wooden house shelters 100’s of pretty post cards that you can purchase for 200 Yen each, they also offer a service to post your post-card anywhere in the world free of charge. So it was pretty fun picking out a card and sending it back home, it should take about a week to reach the reciever. A member of staff at the counter will provide you with a clip board and a pen, so just simply write the address down and message, then pop it in the blue post. With social media and all, it changed the way I kept in contact with my friends who live abroad. Back when I was in school it was still popular to send a postcard, letter or card so this was a very fun yet nostalgic experience.

What a pretty little building! Yes, postcards used to be the way to contact people when you were on vacation. I still think it is a nice thing to send someone a picture of a place.
