I finally arrived at Aomoriya where I’d happily spend the night! It was a resort I had been saving up and looking forward to because I had a wonderful experience at the Hoshino Resorts in Tomamu Hokkaido. So this was certainly a treat! At rhe entrance when I got off the shuttle bus, everyone was greeted by a PONY!!At the waiting area everyone was served apple juice which is famous in Aomori.Got my key!! And my room is absolutely PERFECT! and so spacious.Extremely cosy futon beds. The living room area was perfect for watching TV.and the bathroom area…with a private open-air bath! Good thing is you can open the windows so you don’t get light-headed.The outside view. And a Japanese hi-tech toilet of course. Every-time I leave Japan, it’s literally the one thing I miss so terribly much.Yawata Uma!My room has all the amenities I needed… even a coffee machine.Upon checking in I was given a map, leaflet, my dinner & breakfast ticket, return shuttle bus and confirmation card. And a welcome gift… it was an apple biscuit. Very delicious. I was so excited to go down stairs to explore and also dinner!!
Nice! Love the open air bath. I’ve never been to Aomori, but am planning to next time I go.

Love the design of the hotel room. Don’t think I’ve seen one that blends traditional and modern elements so seamlessly.
