From Sendai Station you can take the JR Senseki-Tohoku Line towards Ishinomaki. The special rapid service will get you there in under an hour, and the local line will take longer, up to 1hr 25 mins. So I suggest taking the rapid service if you can. Once you arrive you will be immediately bombarded by live sized anime statues. They’re from the title called Cyborg 009 created by the famous Shotaro Ishinomori (石ノ森 章太郎). Not only statues, but if you look up at the station building, you will see really cool stained glass picturing characters from the anime. Then don’t forget the clock just outside, there is a Kamen Rider figure!
