I took the earliest Shinkansen out from Tokyo Station (6:16) to get to Kanazawa Station. The journey takes 2hrs 30mins one way. I booked my seat in advance at the ticket office and a window seat is always lovely!! I bought a box of Katsu Sando from a little shop on the platform, it’s the ultimate comfort food…can’t get enough of it. Also, because I had to wake up early I needed a good kick, so I went for a bottle of Tully’s Black Coffee! Nothing better than that extra kick!!

Be sure to visit the Museum of Contemporary Art to enjoy Awazu Kiyoshi! He is so cool. And so are Kanazawa’s gardens!
