Tamamo Park And The Ruins of Takamatsu Castle (玉藻公園 高松城跡)
Located on the former site of Takamatsu Castle, it was built during 1588 and surrounded by beautiful turquoise water that is home to plenty of fishes.
You can still view the remains of the stone walls, the tower and the moat. There is a small entrance fee of 200 yen per adult which I thought was worth it since I do love visiting castle and historical sites. That’s just one thing I love about Japan, and that’s when you’re visiting historical attractions they are usually very affordable!
On the castle grounds there is a pretty Japanese garden! I didn’t spend too long here as was about to hop onto the train to Tokushima, I’d say a good 30 mins here is enough to cover the grounds, also you can also take a slow boat ride on the water like in Ritsurin. I had a lovely time here and because the weather was sunny it made me feel extremely happy!!

A very scenic area for a castle. It appears so serene and majestic.

I agree with you about Japan’s reasonably priced entrance fees. It’s a pity other places don’t follow their example :).
