Terukuni Shrine (照國神社)
Located in Kagoshima city, at the foot of Shiroyama. The Terukuni Shrine (照國神社) You can’t miss this lovely shrine because there is a massive white torii gate in front. The shrine was founded in 1864, like many shrines in Japan it went through reconstructions. One of the most distinctive features of this shrine is the huge green tree at the front which resembles a bird with stretched wings.
